We warmly welcome applications from families with children age 3-4 years old to join our 16 place Nursery.  We offer both 15 funded hours and 30 hours extended provision. Our Nursery is a place where children begin their learning journey in a safe, nurturing, stimulating and engaging environment. Our Nursery provides an inspiring space where every child is encouraged to explore, grow, and develop a love of learning through play-based experiences.

15 Hours Provision:  All parents are entitled to 15 hours per week of free early years' education, for 38 weeks each year, for their 3-4 year-old children. This provision is either for 5 mornings a week, Monday to Friday, 9am-12pm OR 5 afternoons a week, Monday to Friday from 12pm-3pm

30 Hours Provision: The Nursery also offers 30 hours childcare, as an extension to the free universal 15 hours. Please note that these additional hours are subject to availability.

Nursery Application Process - September 2026:

1. Arrange a visit to experience our nursery and see our children thriving via office@st-matthews.enfield.sch.uk  We strongly encourage families to visit us to .
2. We admit children from the age of three,
3. Complete our Nursery Application Form - available below. 
4. Places will be allocated by the Governors' Admissions Panel in accordance with our school’s admissions policy.
5. Families will receive confirmation of a place in May 2026
