Admissions

           We warmly welcome children to join us at St Matthew's School                 at any time throughout the year.

If you have a child aged between 3 - 11, who you would like to start at our school, then please:

1. Call the school office on 020 8804 1666 to tell us about your child.

2. Arrange a date to come and visit our school with your child.  

3. Complete the correct application forms relevant for your child's age.

St Matthew's is a voluntary-aided school so, therefore, you are required to apply:

1. Directly to the school using our Supplementary Admissions Form (which can be found below)

2. To the London Borough Of Enfield via Enfield's on-line application form:  www.enfield.gov.uk/services/children-and-education/school-admissions-and-applications

Nursery Admissions: 

From September 2026,we will have a designated Nursery classroom for 16 children aged 3-4 years old.           Please click on the Nursery Admissions link for how to apply. 

Reception Admissions:   

Every September, we will admit up to 30 pupils into our designated Reception classroom for children aged 4-5 years old.   Application forms must be filled in between September and January in the year before the start date.   Please click on the Reception Admissions link for how to apply. 

In-Year Admissions: 

If you have a child in Years 1 to 6 who you would like to join us at St Matthew's, please complete the following:

  1. Our supplementary form which can be found below, and return this to the school office. Your child will then be added to our waiting list.
  2. Notify the Enfield Admissions team that you would like your child to be added to the St Matthew's waiting list.
