Equality and Diversity

At our school, we are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive community where every child is valued, respected and able to thrive. We celebrate the rich diversity of our pupils, families and staff, recognising that each individual brings unique experiences, cultures, beliefs and perspectives that strengthen our school.

We actively promote equality of opportunity and seek to eliminate discrimination in all its forms. Our ethos reflects our commitment to upholding the rights of every child as set out in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), ensuring that all children are treated with dignity, fairness and respect, and that their voices are heard.

Our curriculum, policies and daily practice reflect and celebrate diversity across all protected characteristics, including age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of understanding and kindness, where differences are not only accepted but embraced.

Through our teaching, collective worship and wider school life, we nurture empathy, respect and a strong sense of belonging so that every member of our community can flourish and “let their light shine.
